Trinity tune, then move to Intune2?

Post by tomakicovic »

Normally, I tuned with whatever the customer brought, but the old Intune was a pita and flashed slow. Is the Intune2 faster for flashing custom tunes? Does Dataviewer work with it well, or is it still better logged first to the tool, then transfer log file over to PC?

Or should I buy a Trinity for the shop, tune with that, and when done, return to stock, and trasnfer tune to customers tool? Does it work well with Dataviewer directly?

What's my fastest option for making numerous log->tune-> flash operations?

Thanks,
Toma

personally, I advise having as many tools as your budget allows. The old 'plumbers carry more than one wrench' adage...
If I were tuning in a shop Id want a Trinity and an i2.

i2 is much faster, works with DV, and...allows you to purchase multiple licenses from our website to add to a tool, so you can tune a car without moving a piece of hardware should you desire.

To clarify, are you saying I2 is faster than the Trinity? But you need one for each make (Ford/Dodge/Chevy)?

Is there a CMR discount on the licenses? Do I have to buy them direct from your site, or can I get them from the WD I buy my Diablo products from?

Thanks for the help.

i2 is a bit faster than trinity, yes. You only need one i2, if you buy a GM i2 and add a ford license, you can then use it to tune a ford, or add a GM and then tune a GM, etc.

No discounts currently, they are purchased direct from the site anytime.
