U7194 Update Issue

Have a customer here with a 2008 Chev Sururban 5.3L and has the U7194 Predator.

Unit came in with 9r10 and when one of my guys tried to update to 9r31, it came up with

CROM u7194-v.9r31
Incompatible hardware. (No Serial flash found). Contact Tech support

I cannot get the DSDownloader to recognize the tuner plugged in.

Any suggestions?

follow the app missing or corrupt instructions on dsdl to load this

9r10 is the highest you can go on that old version 7194, you can not use the more recent/bigger crom update files on that older 7194...

I'm having the same problem but the crom file isn't available to download when I try. Any other suggestions?

I've followed the instructions for missing or corrupt, but it just doesn't work. I'm using the update tool button. Is this correct? The DS downloader keeps going blank and I have to end the program after I select the crom. I've tried this on 3 different computers.

what version of DSDL?
Are you sure you have the correct com port selected?

version 2.2.2.6. I set the tool to serial baud 115200. It shows baud changed then when I click close the screen changes to Installing bootloader and seems to just freeze there. Now I'm getting an error on the downloader saying "I could not open the selected serial port". When I try to upload the CROM it says "Ds downloader could not access the serial port. Is some other application using it?".
