05 tahoe tuner not connecting

hello all. i have 2 tuners already for my hemi commander and srt8 and work great. i know my way around the tuner.

i just bought a 05 tahoe 5.3 z71 all stock. I also bought a tuner recently that has never been married to any car because a buddy bought it for his cts-v but sold it before even getting the tuner.

have serial and all that (for mods/diablo assoc)

but plugs in and turns on. i can check some info but i go to "read codes" and says connect/turn on car. the car is already turned to the "on" position. will not connect. turn car off and disconnect tuner. tried again. tried to go to tune. it just will not connect to the tahoe?

wrong tuner? i know it says from 03-05 gm but i see a couple of post people having them (same part number ect) on their tahoes?

missing something or just a DOA unit?

any aftermarket electronics installed?? or trailer brake/light setup? if so, they need to be disconnected..

it should work, got anything else you can plug into to see if it communicates?

try options/troubleshooting/show vin or calid.

I log in my Bluetooth obd2 and it reads fine also checks my Cel it's reading gas cap evap. So that is working correctly.

I plug in predator and it turns on and I can go to calibration and vin and both say can't communicate turn car on. It's in the on position

Not sure here, got any other 99-05 GM trucks or early Vette/f-body you can plug into to see if it will communicate?

Sounds like an issue with the cable or connector maybe.

nah don't have any other chevy/gm product in the stable mopar,ford,nissian,honda
