I just bought a used U7131 for 06-07 cummins only to realize the truck I'm installing it on is an 05 and it's not supported, please tell me there's a way to get around this issue and I didn't just waste my money??

well, you kinda answered your question, the U7131 is for 06-07, it will not work on an 05.
You can send it in for a conversion for $99 if you like.

Looking like that might be my best option if I can't sell or trade it for the correct one. Thank you for the info how would I go about sending it in?

submit the return form on our site and request the core credit then we'll issue an rma to send it in.

Where is the return form? Not having any luck finding it. Would it be the same as the reset/unlock form?

Yes the email was joey_sorrells@yahoo.com and it was through Safari, I'll redo it tonight, thanks for the help
