disappointed in LB7 predator

Post by mms75 »

Bought a new U7180 version 9.r10 predator and found it only monitors 18 PIDs. A friend of mine has an older version 6.10 and it has over 100 PIDs that can be viewed. Why would the older version have more?

Also, the menu title for "real-time data" is "diesel lly lbz". I have a LB7. Is this how it is supposed to read?

you should have a list of many PIDs you can choose and log, the older tool does not have logging capability.

the name is correct, no worries there.

The 18 PIDs on the U7180 predator I just bought reads:
Engine load, ECT, MAP RPM, Vehicle Speed, IAT, MAF Airflow, TRUE Power takeoff status, Desired Rail Pressure, Injection Timing, and Cyl.#1 through #8 Balance rates.

Is there supposed to be more on the newer predator?

The old predator read the following:
• a. Engine Speed - x rpm

I do like the logging feature, but really bought it for the ability to read to PIDs.

Thanks,
Matt

you can go in and select whatever pids you want, the list you see is our default list we made for you, there should be an option to select whatever PIDs you wish to record.

The list is still only the same 18 pids. I can only pick from those 18.

Also, if I install the "original back-up" does that mean the Predator is unlocked and the ECM is back to it's original state?

Thanks for your help.
