Vin not found/no start

Post by The_detailer »

2003 Silverado. Had a CEL come on. Checked and cleared the codes with the programmer. I figured while I'm here let's change up the tune. Haven't done it in lord knows how long. Well 17% into loading the time I get script error. So I reset, hook up battery tender in case it was low voltage. Start the process over. Now I get "VIN not found" after unplugging everything the truck does not start. PLEASE HELP!!!

Side note the CEL was for mass air flow sensor.

sounds like a really old tool, this may be a touch spot ass these really old tools dont have the recovery options of the newer ones.
If the tool will not restore the tune we'll need to get it flashed by a dealer or pull the pcm and send it here and we can flash it for you.

Thanks

Vin not found/no start

as these trucks get older, it is possible for a simple sensor failure or harness issue to cause a problem... were there any codes when it would not start?
