New DSDL 2227 with win8 driver support

We have released a new version of DSDownloader, 2.2.2.7, and it contains an installer for the new 2.0 Driver that will work with windows 8, with no more need to disable driver signing.

If needed for use with DV, this same driver can be installed and used with inTune as well on win8.

While having lock up issues with the latest Dodge Crom, locking up the device while logging. I updated to the latest DSDL (2228) which was updated in your download section, on 12-09-2013 several days after this post about 2227 (This is under the Trinity block on the download page).

However after installing 2228, the application shows up as 2227 (with a creation date of 12/4 for the DSDownloader.exe file)

I've uninstalled 2227 including drivers and reinstalled 2228 (file name DSDownloader_Installer_2.2.2.8.exe) but it keeps showing up at 2227

Is this a version number mistake or is there really a 2228 version?

Running this on Windows 7 X64 (via VMWare fusion) Device is connecting fine however I'm just trying to trouble shoot the logging freezing, people are reporting.
