Failed Emissions Test

Post by davidjhooker »

I was running a 93 Octane tune on a 2013 Dodge Charger RT Max. I restored to my Factory tune 2 days ago. Went in for my annual emissions test. I didn't pass. OBD says that the 02, Cat, Evap readiness monitors were not ready. The only other thing I have done since last year is to install a Mopar CAI. Do I need to just run a few "drives" for everything to reset? Any other advice? Is there a way to set them to "ready" with my DiabloSport Trinity?

best bet would have been to leave the tune in, every time you flash the pcm you reset the monitors and you'll need to drive it for a few days to get them to set.

The trick to make clear the readiness codes.

1. Find a long stretch of open road.
2. Get the car up to 55 mph, do not go over 60 mph.
3. coast the car down to 25mph without shifting or hitting the brakes. Or slower.

All codes should now say ready.

This trick worked on my '09 Charger when the smog tech recommended it. Mine were not ready because I disconnected my battery.

Is there anyway I can pass smog with the diablo tune? If not what is the procedure to back rev to factory settings. I have a product called FIXID it has a Emissions Precheck my Charger SRT8 2007 fails on Oxygen Sensor and Catalytic converter. Car is stock except cold air intake. I've driven this car over two hundred miles please help without smog no registration.

It will pass with the preloaded tunes just fine.

Just dont flash it for a week or 2 prior to the test.
