HELP new user

I'm thinking about getting a used trinity for my 06 wrangler rubicon
Is there any issues with resetting everything in the trinity that I should worry about or anything special I should look for
He has the mount the monitor and the cable would I need anything else or just plug it in and. Go
I have never used or ever knew anyone that has this thing
