tuner is now able to write a tune to the truck, now my issue is that there is no option to disable MDS which is one of the main reasons I purchased this model. also no option to adjust throttle boost. do I just need to keep updating? I have updated around 10 times as of now...

No, update once, never more than that.
The params you are seeking are in the modify tune menu under advanced tuning.
Sounds like you are in easy tune or quick adjust menu.
