initial tune and retune question

Post by chile »

Hello,

I have 2009 Silverado with a 5.3L. I recently bought a intune to give a tune and change the tire size. I had to update twice before it would recognize my truck. It was able save the stock ECM and TCM (which i can see when hooked to my computer). Then it loaded the tunes with the changed parameters I put in i.e. tire size, firm shift, and shut off DOD. But then after writing and loading tune. It said failure occurred writing fail log.

The truck does fine and appears the tune is working. After that I tried log some driving around and the intune froze. I tried to put the truck back to stock and it froze again. I want to retune it to change some other things. I'm afraid to try to update it and lose the stock tunes.

Any info will help alot.

there is no adaptive trans setting that you can adjust/reset...

So my intune keeps freezing. When I trying to do anything from adjusting some parameters or returning back to stock. I go to the "turn you ignition key on dont start your engine" screen. Then the circle spinning thing stops. It even stops when I try to datalog. I searched and saw that there might be reset for the registry. Any help would be great thanks.
