New inTune update available!!

Post by mikel »

The fix is in.

Please update your inTunes!

This new update fixes any and all bugs, as well as adds support for older Fords (99-04 Mustang, 99-03 7.3 Diesel) as well as older GM (99-04 Vette, 99-02 F-Body, 99-06 Trucks) applications.

Please restore the original backup stock tune to your vehicle before performing these updates!

The update is a 3 part deal, first the updater will download 1r01i, and the tool will reboot.

The tool will then ask you to open the inTune drive, and launch the getcdrom.exe
This will download the CD ROM (intune.exe file), and the tool will reboot, a second time.

After the 2nd reboot, allow the intune.exe to run, and it will download all of the latest databases, this will take 20-30 minutes.

After the last reboot, everything is ready to go.

Thanks!

Sounds great but it doesnt worl like you are saying Mike. I have 1r01f and it wont update to 1r01i. What do I have to do to get a Predator for this Srt8 Charger.....Wasting my time with this intune. Ya think the tool would be a well functioning product before you eliminate the Predators.

I am not sure Mike, it just keeps saying it is up to date. Sorry if I seem frustrated I AM! I am noticing that I am not the only one. The Predator for the Mopars was a perfectly functioning tool that you guys have thrown in the trash. I am just feeling that you trashed it a little prematurely.

I am in the same boat.. the predator worked perfectly... no need to trash it... this thing went out too soon.

Yes I am grumpy too, but it happens when money starts to fly away because of issues so simple.

2010 Challenger R/T factory tune gone

Post by sjm3_59 »

InTune S/N: CIAFB04-1. Guys, I did the update Mike posted but read the post after the update started. My factory settings are gone. Can you please help? XML file below:
<?xml version="1.0"?>
-<tool_info>
<main svn="4599" sw_rev="1r01i" full_version="InTune-1r01i 05/15/2012 10:38:04 AM"/>
<registration status="1" sn="CIAFB04-1"/>
<restore bc="0" vin="" id="0"/>

<updates count="2"/>
</tool_info>

2010 R/T 5.7L. It is tuned now with the 91octane/CAI.
Also, what is the best tune for HP & torque? I run shell 93.
Is there any other info you need from me?

don't run Shell gas.. it's crap, tends to cause a lot of knock retard... use mobil, exxon, sunoco, amoco, bp, or chevron instead - better quality fuel.

you will need to let the intune read/save a copy of the tune currently in the car - it will save it as the original backup... then post up here that new original backup file that it saved... they will have to make a fix for you...

I plugged in tonight and this is what it read. This is the only file that shows up.

<?xml version="1.0"?>
-<tool_info>
<main svn="4599" sw_rev="1r01i" full_version="InTune-1r01i 05/15/2012 10:38:04 AM"/>

<restore bc="0" vin="2B3CJ5DT9AH156967" id="0"/>
<db pid="1r01a" tune="1r01e" mfr="GM"/>
<db pid="1r01a" tune="1r01b" mfr="DCX"/>
<db pid="1r01a" tune="1r01b" mfr="FORD"/>
<system_db vin="1r01a" info="1r01a" dtc="1r01a"/>
<license tuned="0" avail="1"/>
<unsupported vin="2B3CJ5DT9AH156967" oem="DCX" calid="68052005AD"/> <updates count="2"/>
</tool_info>

I did write a log but I didn't think that would be of any use. Is there something else I need to do? Thanks

Guys, it worked. I plugged in tonight and it went through the calibration and saved it. After that I wrote the Diablo tune and it saved the calibration as the backup and the Diablo as the last tune written. Thanks Again!
