inTune DCX fails to tune

inTune is giving the below failures when trying to tune 2014 300 SRT8. Bought the car used a few months ago and figured this would be the first mod; standard for Mopar products at my house. Bought the DCX used and updated to latest updates via Ignition software. Cable is fine. Tried doing tune with battery charger/conditioner hooked up thinking it might be a low voltage issue. No bueno no matter what I've tried.

vehicle definitely in RUN mode?

Nothing out of place in the info file, makes me think its an unhappy i1000...

well, i just noticed the info file identifies itself as a normal i-1000, not an i-1000-dcx....is there a sticker on the back of the device?
