8 speed transmission 2014 ram 1500 5.7

My 2014 has been using this trans tune for a couple months. I can return to stock without problems and put it back on. Seems to downshift more on deceleration and when I press the tow haul mode it will now go to 8th gear where before tow mode would lock out 8th from the factory. Is the more extreme downshift bad on the tranny?
