ABS light ESP light 2012 SRT 6sp w/Diablo i3

Post by Lord Mortis »

I read through all of this year's posts to try and find a solution to the "ABS module tire size info wipe" issue.
No luck.
Has anything been done to correct this or do I need to take my car to the dealer and pay to have the tire info restored to the ABS module?
I have read where Diablo will reimburse the cost of the reset done by the dealer which is nice but it seems like a burden to the company and the customer.
I would like to hear that this issue is being remedied as I have seen a few posts on other forums regarding this.
This is my first experience using a tuner and so far it scares me to death.
Once the dealer resets everything how can I plug this thing into my car again and still sleep at night?
Luckily this vehicle isn't a daily driver so it can sit while a solution is created, but of course that's not why I bought it.
In addition I still want the gains that this tuner promises.
A few things have been adjusted, like the higher RPMs before shifting, that I don't think I can now do without.
I still have faith in the product and the support I'm sure to receive.
I know a lot of people that swear by Diablo, I'd like to join their ranks.
Thank you,

this is not something I see to be common on Challengers but we are looking into it.

What happens after that?
Do I still load the tune but skip the tire size correction?
Use a custome tune?
I'm really wanting to keep this tuner.

Factory size is 245/45 R20 and I'm running 275/40 R20. So a little different. I figured since the option is there I would go ahead and try to get the most out of the tuner.

Spent three hours at the dealer today to be told that they want more time to investigate the problem.
I told them exactly what the problem AND solution was. I hate going to the dealer.

Took the car in tonight after work to have it's ECU re-flashed back to factory. Also the TPIM and ABS reprogrammed.
I'm in a total of $308.43 with two trips to the shop to run down the problem and reprogram components.
I would love to keep this tuner but I'm scared to death to plug it into my car.
Have you looked into this and do you have a solution?

from where I am sitting, you have almost no difference in height from one tire to the other, meaning the speedo should not require any adjustment.

You should be fine to load the tune, just avoid adjusting tire size.

We'll cover the dealer charges, even though they charged about 2x what it should have cost for a simple module reconfig ;)
