Updated my ride, want to tune it

Post by TNPete »

So, long time user of an i2 on my V6 Charger, I absolutely love it!
Brought that Penstar to LIFE!

Well the kid needed a new car, so my daughter got the wife's Hyundai (yea I wasn't there when she bought it) and my wife is now driving my old 2015 V6 Charger.

And I am now the VERY proud owner of a 2017 Dodge Charger Daytona 392 :D
The Daytona has the better tires, suspension, CAI, etc.

So, you can guess my next question...
I want to "add" my new Daytona to the i2 and use it to tune both cars...

Now I'm SURE Dodge hasn't given up their PCM locking bullcrap with the 2017's, so I'm gonna need an unlocked PCM for the new car...
So the swap program sounds fine, but I don't think I need a new tuner, the i2 should tune the Daytona and the V6 no problem, right?

At any rate, how do I go about this?
Basically, I just need to add the 392 to my i2...
I have already spent $1000 on the PCM and i2 for the V6, as I got mine before the swap program came about.
In fact I still have the original 2015 V6 PCM sitting in a closet gathering dust, can I send that one in too for a discount on adding my Daytona to the i2?

Thanks in advance,
Pete

you can send the stock pcm here to be mofdified for $200 + shipping, then add a license to the i2 for $149 and tune your new car.

My 17 Charger SP woke up real nice with the tunes :)

Coolness, thanks Mike!

It "woke up" your Scat Pack?!?
I didn't know it was sleeping! :D

Maybe it's because I'm coming from the Pennstar, but the 392 goes like a bat out of hell now, can't wait to wake mine up too!

Thanks,
Pete

Just a followup.

I talked to a great Sales Rep at Diablosport who hooked me up with a trade-in of my old i2 system for a i3 and a PCM swap for a good price. He was great at pulling together a deal that met my needs!

I got the PCM and i3 last weekend and installed it on the new Daytona 392 and man Mike, you were right!
That puppy really wakes up that 6.4L Hemi!

Been driving with it for a little less than a week now and I LOVE it.
That slight "lag" the Chargers have where you have to stomp on the pedal to go is now GONE!
Just give it a little goose and you are outta there!

Thanks again, you guys are the best!
