Sorry, another rev limiter question

Post by Hemi Ken »

I searched the forum but didn't see my exact problem, so here goes, I have an intune i2 2010 and have been experimenting playing with the parameters of the stock tune of my 2010 5.7 R/T Challenger, Raised the speed limiter up to 160 for the fun of it, turned MDS off, Traction control off, firmed up the shifts, modified the upshift in autostick mode to mode 2 I think, increased the accelerator sensitivity by 10%, and finally raised the wot shift point to 6,200
(6,000 is not an option) and raised the rev limiter to 6,500 as to not be hitting it. Thing is that the shift point setting took but rev limiter did not, so if I get anywhere near 6K it just falls over on it's face and won't shift. I know from reading these forums that some year models won't allow that adjustment but was my understanding that the 2010 5.7 auto could be adjusted. Thanks for any help.

I'm new to this stuff so bear with me, I haven't actually loaded one of the tunes into the car, only modified some parameters of the stock tune, the rev limiter being the problematic one. I may be misunderstanding your request though. Thanks

when you connect the device to a pc it creates a drive, and in that drive is a folder called tunes, i would like you to attach the files from that folder to the forum here please.

OK Mike I just dragged the file you sent me over into my last tune loaded folder, I hope that's right, doing this kinda blind, so I guess now I reload the tune back into the car.

no folder, just put it in the root of the drive and then the device will import it.
