2011 F150 3.5l Ecoboost Speed Limiter

Post by BigBoy69 »

Hello, I'm new to all this.

I have the I2 tuner and I run the 93 octane tune in my truck.
I just made a change for my tire size in the program and put that tune in the truck.

Question 1:
What will that actually do? Will it give it more grunt in certain areas because of bigger tire size etc???

Question 2:
What does "remove speed limiter" mean and what will it do? I was going to change it, but didn't because I didn't know what it meant.

Thank You

1. this calibrates the speedo to make it correct.
2. The speed limit is the max speed of the vehicle, usually set around 100 moh on trucks, removing it allows you to go as fast as the truck can.
