2016 Ford Explorer Trans issues

Post by CarterDaley »

I am having problems with my wifes 2016 Ford Explorer Sport where the trans will miss a gear (4th I believe) when accelerating up to highway speed and will go into a neutral state and throw code p0700. We were only running the 87 octane tune but have since returned the vehicle to stock programming and the issue has entirely went away. whenever I try to update the tune via Ignition, I get a server update failure message. Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you,
Carter

BTW it is a 3.5 ecoboost and the programmer is your in-tune 2.

Can you post the info.xml file from the i2 drive here please?

This is not an issue I have ever seen re[ported previously so we may need to take a look at the tunes and maybe a log to get it sorted out.

I dont think thats on our end....could it be a firewall on your end?

As for the shifting issues, if you can load the tune and try to record a log of it happening that would be ideal.

Have you ever seen any other SHO owners report this issue?

I have tried multiple times on different days and get the same error message, and Im trying it on a mac with no 3rd party security but ill check tonight to see if the ignition app has full security clearance.

How would I go about recording a log?

And we have the Ford Explorer Sport, but I have not seen anyone else with these issues. I forgot to mention that if I try to remove the speed limiter it will give me a dead accelerator pedal as well.

I tried getting a log of the issues this weekend but of course, couldn't get it to act up. I will refresh this thread if I can get a log of the problem. Thanks

did you install the ignition for Mac app from our site?

Do you have access to try it on a PC?
