[HELP] 2016 Mustang test tune

Post by StangATX »

Hey guys,

I'm having some trouble with my car right now. I'm back to stock tune for about 1 1/2 month and I still loose my fuel economy. I tried to clean my TB and I'm still loosing quit a bit of gas. I checked for leak and the only one I have is the OEM Ford clamps between my cat and my resonator (I Just ordered new clamps right now to fix those exhaust leaks). I was gonna look to remove my O2 sensor to check them out and clean them but I don't have the special socket and on my car it's a little pain in the butt to remove the 4 O2 sensors. Anyways, here's a little request for you guys. I'd like to see if you could disable the 2 sensors that are on my cats but keep the one before my cats. I don't have any CEL so I just wanna see if with those 2 sensors disable if my car will gain it's fuel economy back. If it does I'll just bring it back to stock and change my O2 sensors. Also, I tried to reflash my car yesterday and it was stuck on reading PCM 25% for like 5 mins. I couldn't get my car to be flashed with the 87 tune.

PS: Forgot to mention my Mustang is a V6 AT.

Thanks for your help!

Quick update... the tuner couldn't pass 25% of reading the PCM. I thought it needed an update. I connected the tuner over WiFi and it found a few updates. After updating the tuner and plugged it in my car something really weird happened. It said my car wasn't supported! So, before the update my car was supported but now it isn't anymore? what just happened!!!?

According to an older backup of my xml file it should the following: 1FSY7KDKTJ

Edit: I just found another Micro USB cable and I thought why not try. After 2 cable being bad if this cable doesn't work then something is probably wrong... Anyways, The cable I found seems to work (For now...) on Windows and I got my "Info.xml" file. My computer can now detect the tuner! However, I'm still having trouble with my car. Since the last update I did over WiFi it says my car is not supported... I did the update because the tuner was stuck at 25% reading PCM and wouldn't move further. Anyways, Here's the file:

everything looks current there. Not sure what could cause this.
Can you give us a call this morning with the tool powered up in the car so we can try resetting it and see if that clears it up?

Thanks
