High milage

Post by briguy2 »

Hello, I searched the forum for high milage, but nothing popped up.

Has anybody added a 93 octane tune to 140000 mile 3.5 Ecoboost?

I have 130k on my Lightning and am pushing 15psi through the motor.

Frankly, I think your turbos are on borrowed time anyway, so may as well have fun with them until they start leaking or grenade. Most car turbos are only rated for a 100k service life before requiring a rebuild or replacement. That you got 140k out of them is sort of a miracle. Ford must be using some big rig diesel tech on them to increase longevity.

Hey, Mike.

I bought the truck used, so maybe they were replaced.

Truck runs really well, I replaced the brake vacuum booster last month.

But nothing else in the 1 year I have had it.
