Baro Reading for 2011 F150 Ecoboost
Running i2 tuner on a 2011 F150 3.5l Ecoboost. Looking to understand the baro reading in DataViewer better.
See attached pic of key on/engine off. Below are my assumptions. Please correct my thinking.
'Boost ABS: Boost absolute pressure' ----Pressure sensor after turbos and before throttle blade.
'MAP SAE' ---- True Manifold Air pressure sensor on top of intake plenum
'Barometric Pressure' ---- Sensor internal to ECU???
In CMR software it appears only Boost ABS and MAP SAE are able to be modified slope and offset.
Know the ECU compares these sensors prior to start to get 'correct', but curious about 'Barometric pressure'??

Baro is often measured at key on using the map sensor.
I'd need to confirm that for this specific application but thats usually how it works as I understand it.

That's what makes this so weird.
Why would 'Barometric Pressure' reading still be sitting at 14.21 psi? (if 'MAP SAE' and 'Boost ABS' - direct sensor readings - at key on are 14.78 psi)

Were you able to confirm how the baro sensor works in this application and how/what CMR software reads?

Im told its an offset in the cal.
Can you post a log?

Here is the log. Interested to know what the parameters being displayed actually are. How would someone change the offset in the cal to match the 14.79-14.79 range?

I've asked them to dig through the PID data to try to make sense of this.
Nobody seems to think anything is wrong or broken, its just more so how it needs to be interpreted.

Mike, Did you find out from engineering what each of the PIDs actually are?

No, its been tough to get a solid answer on this as we have some conflicting data.
