2014 Silverado 1500 Tuning Problem

Post by mindless1869 »

I had an i2 that was replaced due to it malfunctioning. The replacement that I got will not tune my truck because it says that it has already been tuned with a Diablo product. I have had the truck in to 2 different dealerships on 3 different occasions in the last 2 weeks to have the ECM and TCM reflashed to stock, and I am still receiving this error. I have attached an image of the error the tuner is giving me and a copy of the info.xml file. What do I do now?

do you happen to have a copy of the backup from the original device?

I do have a copy of the original device's entire tune folder, and info.xml file. However, they are just over a year old. Looks like all the calids match up in the info.xml files though. Also, I know that there have been at least 2 recall updates done since the backup file was originally created. Anyway, I have attached the old tunes folder and info.xml.....Thanks!

save this to the i2 drive and let the device import it.
Then go to the vehicle and load this update to set the pcm back to stock, then you should be able to tune.

Thanks Mike! I've copied it over to the i2, and the display said the calibration updates for VIN were loaded. I'll get it hooked up to the truck tonight once I'm home and let you know how it goes. Thanks again for the help!

Worked like a charm. I was so excited to see AFM back on as I drove home from work, but had some other stuff to do. Just finally had a chance to try an actual tune, and everything went through smoothly. Thanks again for all the help. Been a year in the making.......but I am once again a happy Diablo owner.
