2000 Silverado gear ratio

Post by jshillingford87 »

Hello,

I bought the i2 so that I can correct my gear ratio and tire size along with performance upgrades. I do not have the ability to change the gear ratio In any way. The only place I see the question to change the ratio is in easy tune, which I don't want to do but regardless, when I hit yes to change it, it will not give me an option to do so. can someone help me please? I would like to have the ability to change it in the different octane tunes and the modify tune menu also.

please post the files from the tunes folder on the i2 drive and tell me what the stock gears and new gears are and we'll correct it.

Sir,

I appreciate you sending me the custom tune in the other forum. when I dragged it to the i2 folder, I do see the device saying the custom tune was imported but when I connect it to the vehicle, I am not able to select load custom tune. the only thing I have options to do on the device is to erase custom tune. I really need to change the gear ratio to fix my speedometer speed and get the abs and brake light to go away, altering the gear ratio is my main priority for buying the i2 and performance second.
I was able to install the 91 tune, can you please create another Tune with the 35 tires and 4.10 gear ratio please?

also please provide guidance on to how to get the device to write it to my PCM.

2000 Chevy Silverado 5.3
old gears 3.42
new gears 4.10 with 35inch tires

Thanks

Jason

OK, when you load the customtune to the i2 drive, what does the device say?

Can you delete the file from the settings menu then reload it and tell me what you see on the screen?

I am having the same problem...

Old gear ratio and tire size- 3.73 305/40/22
New gear ratio and tire size- 4.10 305/40/22

Thanks in advance!

Also, will this be a permanent fix?

Also, will there ever be an update to fix this in the intune?

I’m having the same issue with my intune 3 platinum. My ABS lights turn on and my speedometer is off by 10 miles.

Old gears 3.42
New gears 4.10

New tire size 265/40/22

Please correct the issue.
Thank you.
