I have tracked every tank of gas I used since I purchased my truck. I have alway ran 93 octane and not looking to change that, but wanted to increase fuel economy.
I just purchased my i2030 mainly to calibrate my speedometer when I purchase new larger tires but after reading decided to take advantage of the other options.
I used the easy tune and only change I made was to remove the speed limiter and on the next trip I took towing I got almost 3mpg less than before the tune and without the trailer in tow I am getting almost 4mpg less.
Any suggestions?

these situations are always tricky.
You say you bought it to calibrate the speedo, so, if the speedo was already wrong, your MPG was wrong too, and you simply cant compare the before/after numbers unfortunately...

I have factory wheels and tires right now. I am getting ready to buy new tires on the same wheels. Just going to go up a couple of sizes. But currently it is all stock.mikel wrote:these situations are always tricky.

I only ran the quick tune and only change was to remove the limiter. I assumed it would drop a new tune that would increase mpg based on it's discription.

Ok, gotchya.
Well, nothing in the tunes will lead to a loss of mileage other than changing your driving style after the tune is loaded, which we find to be common.
Did you load the 93 octane Diablo tune?

Yes, 93 octane quick tune was loaded. and I have run 3 tanks of 93 octane fuel through since applying the update. Nothing has changed in my driving habits.mikel wrote:Ok, gotchya.
