87 tune (more like 85)

Post by heavychevystuff »

Hello

im on the fence about buying one of these tunners

2004 SIERRA 5.3 Z71

the main reason i want to buy one is because the gas we get in commiefornia is such krap. and [breaking news] we are about to get 15% ethanol!!!.
point is; the 87 rating is not accurate.
and the MPG, as a result, is lower than my 1987 TBI!!!
so telling the motor its getting "chit" fuel and holding its hand for more MPG is the only real priority. more HP or throttle response is second fiddle.

i wanted to program my truck to downshift faster and just be more responsive, but im learning that that is just impossible with an automatic....

i also wanted to get the computer to run the factory 08 & newer electric fans, but im told that is also impossible...

so, has anyone in CA gotten one of these tunners and been happy with the result?
should i just roll the dice and do the money back guarantee if im not happy?

thanks!
