91 Tune. Help please.

Hey guys I installed the 91 tune on my auto 02 camaro ss, mods are slp lid , sl lm2 cat back exhaust. Love the tune feels great. Ok so the problem I have is when I data logged wot between 3000 to 5000 rpm Ihave knock retard up to 2! So mike orLew can I reduce spark advance and by how much please .it shows at zero on the spark setting so do I minus is by 2 at 3000 5000rpm when i looked at it ..please help other then that tune feels awesome.

2 is not that bad if its just a blip at the shift....

Well its 2 degrees of knock at those rpms doesnt last long but I still dont like it. So what can you recommend for me on how to get rid of that knock, ie reduce timing ? If so by how much ? Please let me know lew and mike..

honestly, if it shows up then goes away after the shift, its not hurting anything.
Log the stock tune, i bet it still does it.
If you pull timing you'll kill power for an event thats happening during the shift, and thats pointless.

Run 93 and see if it goes away. If it doesn't then take 1 degree out of it and repeat the pull to see if it's still there. If it's still there with 93 order an octane booster mix it up to 105, repeat the pull if its still there then have your knock sensors desensitized a touch or put the work in to see if they are picking up false knock from something else.

Ok I will try 93 tune, but how can the 93 tune fix the knock issue? I mean that's more timing then the 91 tune, now removing 1 degree at a time might work . Thanks for getting back . But let me know why 93 tune though, thanks again man.. :)

You're going to leave the 91 octane tune in it but fill up with 93. If the knock goes away with 93 octane on the 91 tune then you'll pull timing.

Ok I was running 94 octane when I got 2 degree of knock, so I will try to take 1 degree of timing out and see what happens , thanks. Hope it works cause car feels good...
