Ignition software does not recognize i2???

I installed the new Ignition software but it does not see my tuner. I plug my i2 up and watch it boot up but the program continues to read "please plug your device in to your PC to check for updates" (software will locate device once connected). I've rebooted PC and tried opening program after plugging up and vice versa. Nothing is working. Please let me know what to do next??
