Jeep SRT 2016 questions

Post by Foss »

Hey guys,

I have a few noob’ish questions which I wanted to get some clarification on. So I am using the default Diablo tune setup with the Perf trans tune as my first trial. The modifications I currently have in my Jeep are the AFE intake, and Borla ATAK exhaust. With these 2 modifications what would be the best setup without going to a dyno yet? I am aware there are custom tube options, I just want to utilize what I have at this moment. Of course I always put 93 octane in the car, nothing below. Eventually I will be adding a Whipple blower on the Jeep, so if anyone has had any experience or thoughts please let me know as well.

Second question is, is there a purpose anymore for the dial on the center console which does it’s own factory calibration for SRT mode features? I only mention this silly question because I live in the north east where it snows, and of course would like to utilize the snow option if necessary.

Also I would like to extract my backups in case the device becomes corrupted. Where do the backups live on the device? Haven’t really navigated through it since it has been updated and plugged into the car.

I work as a network security specialist on computers and understand the navigation and debugging involved to fine tune this Jeep I have. File import/export and understanding setting files within the media device shouldn’t be too difficult for me to understand. Also work with coding and reading assembler. Thank you for the help, greatly appreciated.
