Intune..Not so much

Intune i1000 lost data.
A few weeks ago I got my 05 Mustang out of winter storage, in which it sat with the battery removed. I hadn't hooked the tuner up to it since then until the other day I went to used it to see if I could remedy an ongoing idle hunting issue. When I put the tuner on it, it says it doesn't support the vehicle. When I tried to restore the original back up tune it says there's nothing supporting the vehicle vin. Apparently, not only is the original back up tune gone but, also all other tunes and data for my car. Not good...Not good. Where is my back up tune? And why is this thing broken? It's not even a year old and I treat it like a diamond necklace. When not being used, it sits locked in my desk.
Please tell me all is not lost.
