Check engine light on

I have recently purchased a pulsar unit for my 2019 Ram. After a couple days of driving around in Stock MDS off my check engine light came on. Has anyone experienced this? Everything is running fine but it sure does suck not being able to command start my truck. I will look into purchasing an ODB2 reader as I leant mine out and it never returned... Any suggestions for a reader?
