Thinking of getting the trinity 2 monitor for my 05 EX curious if it will work and function properly, and what the difference between the mx and ex is what features wont I have. Truck has cts2 on it right now but I wanna put that back in my 96 if possible give her something better to monitor with.

It should work great.
The MX is a tuner/monitor, the EX just the monitor.

Nope, incorrect.... you swapped it around...

The MX is just the monitor/gauges... The EX is the programmer/tuner & monitor....

The EX platinum supports custom tuning, and has preloaded tunes for the PCM and TCM on the 6.0 models.

So the only thing that is limited on the mx compared to the ex is the tuning capability

yeah... the MX version tool can not do any tuning at all... it can only monitor gauges...

you'd need to get the EX Platinum version in order to be able to do any tuning...
