Does the U7145 work on a 2006 mustang v6 ?

i recently purchased the u7145 and i connected it to my mustang and followed the normal procedure to install a tune. the screen told me to turn my key but not to turn on my engine so of course i did it and mashed continue as it told me to do. After doing so i had it tell me that it could not find my car in the database and that i might need to update the device.... So will this device work on my vehicle or do i need to find a different model ???

U7145 is for 07-09 models, it will not work on an 06.
You can trade it in toward a new i2 for your car if you wish.
