Custom tune possible for ol trusty?

Post by jeremym »

I was wondering if a custom tune is still possible to request for the below tuner? Basically I'm running the "Diablo Tune" and it idles a tad rough and I'm noticing its rich smelling. I have seen some black smoke, not often, but after I go WOT and then drop down to wait on a traffic light as an example or if I rev it up to make some noise then shut it off (going in the garage as an example) the next time I start it I may see a puff of black smoke out the back. I had a kid tell me it smells like a lawnmower. :) To a point I expect it cause theres no catalytic converters or EGR system but it does smell rich.

Firmware:
moray-1067617021
mustang-7r50d

1999 Mustang GT

Mods to the car:

No Catalytic Converters
373 gear
Long tube headers
O/R Hpipe
Underdrive pulley kit
Jlt cold air intake
C&L upper intake manifold
C&L throttle body
Egr delete

On the diablo tune I have EGR Disabled, O2 disabled, MIL disabled, Downstream O2 Heaters disabled (basically anything in ODBII has been disabled). I have the gear setting for 373 so my speedometer will be correct.

I am running 93 Octane gas at all times as well.

If I dont need a custom tune is there some setting I can modify in the Diablo Tune to help with the rich gas? Spark Advance something I should change to help burn it?
