Good PIDS to log for your tuner...

Post by johan »

I have been asked this alot and here is breakdown on what I like to see as far as pids go in order to properly adjust a calibration.
I split it up in the two different groups for 05-06 and then 07-up and they are grouped by the groups they are listed in Predator/Trinty and Dataviewer.
Dashboards are attached for Dataviewer as well.

Can you post the Dashboard, at least the 07-up one, Unzipped? WinZip is acting up on my laptop.

Actually the whole damn computer is acting up. God damn Trojans!

EDIT: Forget it, I got it on my desktop. Didn't realize you couldn't upload a dsh file as an attachment. Any way to upload the a layout to the Trinity so I don't have to sit in the truck and make one?

I'll be installing a CAI today. I know the predator has a cai tune, I'll upload that.

If I install a Corsa Sport exhaust, do I need to log data and send it to you to get a further tune? Which PID's to log?

Any ideas as to why this might not show up on an '07 Charger R/T, 5.7L? :?

I did look through every section and couldn't find this one to log. All of the others were present, I made a custom layout and have been logging but am missing that PID!

I'm running latest update / 91 oct perf tune (presently not modified).

Thanks

I know this is a beginner question, but .... can I plug my Trinity into my pc and set it up to log these pid's, then take the Trinity to my car, plug it in to the obd and it will all be there to start logging ?

I've never done much logging at all, so in this respect I'm a newbie.

You know what "I" always say..... "You Guys Are The Best" !

OK... maybe it is too early and I have not had my second cup of coffee, but I can't figure out if and how we can load a .dsh file up to the Trinity to get the gauges outlined in the first post by Johan.

Can someone please tell me if we can upload?
If we can, a simple instruction on how would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Is there available a more descriptive definition of the PIDs?
i.e
KNK LT RETARD deg = Knock Long Term Retard, degrees ?
and if LT does stand for Long Term, what does Long Term mean?

I have a 2009 Dodge Challenger, FWIW (For What Its Worth)
