What about OpenFlash Tablet? Does that cover your model?

Not sure, never heard of it. Got any info? If its anything like the other devices I've seen, it's probably the Turbo 6's only. Thats what the Cobb AccessPort and similar tools are.

OpenFlash only works with the MSD80/81 for now. I have the 85. Too bad, because the price is right. I'd buy it in a second if it would work.

I know about Cobb doing Turbo only, but the BMW V8s are turbocharged. They have twins sitting in the center of the V. They just don't want to do the V8 for whatever reason.

Ah, yeah, not a BMW guy. I just saw something about 2.1mb rom files and figured "must be the newest stuff" lol. But if they can read and flash it, and since they are using the open Tunerpro definitions, maybe enough smart fellas can experiment and find what you need.

Probably worth an email to them. They are getting ready to release a Version for the Scion FRS as well...

Just sent a message to Cobb. They didn't answer when they had the forum. Now that its gone, maybe they'll answer emails.

EDIT: Got an answer. They do plan on supporting in the future, but they don't have the man power to do it anytime soon. They expect the new turbo M3/M4 to be their next big project. Damn things aren't even out yet, haven't even been announced, and they're already being supported. The Twin Turbo V8's have been out since 2009 and they still aren't.

Just asked the mods at XBimmers if I could post an Interest thread (not just for a tuner, but for tuner, exhaust, intake). If they'll let me I'll start a new thread here with the link and this one can be locked.

May not matter. Just put in a Lemon Law claim on the truck. Had the truck 2.5 months, and that .5 month its been at the dealer for the TPMS bullshit and to try to fix the rattles.

Big luxury sedan. Kinda got hooked when I had the 740 loaner. So much more space than the X5 and the ride was way better. So depending on what BMW offers for a settlement, it'll either be a 750i, S550 or A8. Really should be a B7, S63 or S8, but the rides get a lot firmer when they're transformed for sport duty, and I like the softer ride. They're all Twin turbo V8s, so I can make the power myself.

Of course, I'd have no problem keeping the X5M, if they'd fix the damn thing right once and for all.

We shall see. Whats really killing me is that I can't blog about this yet. Its supposedly considered "pending litigation", so I'm not supposed to be talking about it.

I really want to rip into BMW's American build quality. :punisher:

Welp, we ran the truck today with the Dashhawk. She really needs help getting off the line. 1.7x 60's. Otherwise, not awful. 7.96@92 1/8, and 12.39@112.5 1/4, after running 50 miles in the heat and being badly heatsoaked. Knock a couple tenths off the 60 and run her cool, she may be almost respectable.

Hopefully if you guys ever tune them, you'll be able to find a way to adjust the launch control to launch at higher rpms. Most of the tuners in Europe do that.

Not too shabby, runs about like a new SRT8 Cherokee :)

I'm sure the launch control RPM is editable...heck, we can set a 2 step on 03-04 Cobras :)
