Can GM detect a previous tune when getting warranty work?

Post by nadrojcote »

I ran accross this new article on techlink that states GM can see the up to the last 10 tunes written. I'm wondering if reflashing the stock tune will cover this up? Or have I just voided my warranty?

What that article fails to mention is that if you do your homework, you can flash without the CVN seeing it and that our device is not detectable by those means :)

and even if they saw a flash event occured, they can't tell WHAT was changed.. even their own GM flash updates would show up...
