mpg booster tune coolant temp 12 ram

Post by alphamalert »

Does the mpg booster tune lower coolant temp set point? I installed tune this morning and when pulling into my garage this afternoon i heard my fans running. Checked coolant temp and it was 95'C (203F) which is normal. It is -10'c outside (14F) so its not like i was in nice weather. What is factory setting for fans to come on? I am all stock on this truck.

It is set to come on at 96 C or 204.8 F, which is to soon for the stock thermostat which is 203 F.

Set it to 101 C or 213.8 F and it will cycle and not run constantly. Or I edited that for you in the below tune.
