I-1000 PCM calibration error.

Post by arbermu »

I am having problems tuning my 2013 Ram 1500, my I-1000-DCX does not have the intune.exe to run and when I connect it to my truck it says "PCM calibration (VIN) etc." I have not seen a solution for adding the update installer exe, or a manual PCM update. Is there a way to do this? I'll add my info.xml when I get home this afternoon if that helps.

Last night I drag and dropped all files (with the exception of the GM and Ford files) over to my intune drive at it seemed to work.

**edited subject to more accurately describe problem**

I have installed the Ignition Install software, and it updated 2 files, however I am still getting the PCM calibration error. Attached is my info.xml, please let me know if there is anything else I can do to remedy this.

the device is already married to the truck, did you have the vehicle at the dealer since you last installed a tune?

Thanks

Nope, never had the truck into the dealer. I did plug the unit into the truck before the updates to change tire size...crap did I just brick this thing?

try restoring the tire size, as that is what married the device. It will not pull the requested update while the device is married.

I'll give it a try, hopefully it'll work. But I thought the tire changes were under the edit/modify tune options, which I can't get to because of the damned PCM calibration error.

Thank you for all your help Mike, I really do appreciate it!

Mike,
As I thought since tire changes is within the tune menu I cannot change them now (which is a pain because they do need some tweaking, and we're in the middle of a road trip). Should I just call to try and work this out? I just bought the unit brand new less than a week ago, and couldn't wait to get my truck tuned.
