08 Dodge Caliber SRT4 Trinity
Edit: Additional question, is there no way to modify parameters or create custom tunes using the computer software? Can you only do it from the trinity device itself?

Re: 08 Dodge Caliber SRT4 Trinity
did you replace the stock WG?
If so you'll need a custom tune, as the tunes are designed to work with the stock WG.

Yea, I looked and saw how your customers have been begging you for years to allow them to write their own custom tunes using your CMR software. Says right on your box "Full custom tuning support for Ford, GM, Dodge, Chrysler, and Jeep vehicles"mikel wrote:did you replace the stock WG?

That's straight up false advertising. This device doesn't support full custom tuning, it supports paying your CMR dealers several hundred dollars every time you need a tweak or swap a part.
Your competition offers a full suite, that I'm already competent at using, for a mere 50 dollars more. It'll leave enough credits to tune 3 additional vehicles. No sweat to make a return. I doubt you guys will care either because you're not making your big bucks selling the tuners, you're making grands off the CMR software for your dealers.
Can we somehow make this right, or should I just go ahead and return it? Don't bother insulting me by posting your generic reply about buying the software for 2500 bucks.
I appreciate your time. The decisions might not have been yours, but you're the face of the company to me right now.
P.S. I was misinformed. The waste gate was untouched. It's an aftermarket BOV not any aftermarket waste gate.

Re: 08 Dodge Caliber SRT4 Trinity
custom tuning support indicates that it is available, not included.....
The device offers quite a bit of adjustment to the end user, but beyond that, yes, a custom tune from a cmr tuner is required.
If you have the stock WG, it should function properly.
Are all the factory vacuum lines connected properly?
Are there any other mods on the vehicle?
Thanks

That's YOUR interpretation of it. It's ambiguously worded (I'm going to say on purpose) and therefor sold under false pretenses.mikel wrote:custom tuning support indicates that it is available, not included.....
I assumed the vacuum lines were hooked up properly as the upgrades were done by a professional shop. There's no other power loss than when the boost is already up and you try to do a rolling pull.mikel wrote: Are all the factory vacuum lines connected properly?

There's nothing too extreme going on here that shouldn't be able to be solved by modifying parameters of the 93 canned tune. The spark plugs model on a parts site said they were gapped .044 which I assume is way too big. A lot of srt guys are running .035 and less on stock boost. So the issue might be with spark blowout, but I'm wondering if there's anything else I should consider, such as spark advance.
Re: 08 Dodge Caliber SRT4 Trinity
Retarding the wot spark has reduced the issue drastically and the spark plugs were regapped today. When I get a chance to feel and record some more pulls, I'll discuss it further here. Still appreciate any input you have on it. Just because I don't like your business model doesn't mean I won't use your product if the customer service is there. That being said, and I hope it's ok, I'm going to pm you specifically about this issue if toy wouldn't mind replying.
Edit: apparently you've disabled that feature, I can understand why. There's particular issues regarding my setup that are making custom tuning impossible. I've reached out to your hotline, much to my disappointment, to find cmr dealers. None of them will tune the car because so few of them were made that they don't want to have to pay to get the license because they won't make any money off of it. There has to be a solution here mikel... people pay a grand to custom tune vipers not 3100 to tune srt4s...
