Who is this referring to? In addition to the code, what about the "unauthorized software detected" that my dealer noted as well? Is this going to clear it in whatever other module the code is stored in as well?

The code is stored in BCM, but if you disable it in PCM it wont show up.
If you put stock pcm back, code will come back. If dealer flashes over the tune/modified pcm, the code will likely appear again.
So that doesn't really fix anything then. The point is to put the stock PCM back in for service, so if that brings up the code again what is the point? This is beyond frustrating. This needs to be a priority and fixed before people start running into warranty issues.

We are close to a solution that keeps the code from triggering on a fresh install.
Thanks, but what about for the folks like me (and others) that have the code stored already. That's a far bigger issue. Take care of the people that already dropped the $$$$$!

Could you narrow the field of vehicles affected by this bs? I have a 2015 6.4/392 R/T Challenger. I was at the dealer a week ago. They plugged into the OBD and then huddled around the tablet but didn't say anything to me. I have an i2 so I can't check for the code. Based on this thread it looks like 2016 and newer Dodge vehicles show the code.

Thus far no 6.4 cars have shown the code. Seems to be 5.7 and 6.2 cars, as well as most 5.7 Rams. My 17 SP will not throw the code.

Apparently it also happens on the Demon when the Dealer installs the PCM with the race gas tune, with the exception being that they get to keep their powertrain warranty.
