I2 OBD cable

Post by PJD Tuning »

I have an older I2 and when I plug into any 2018+ MOPAR equipped with the bypass cable, the device won’t power up. I even tried connecting through a Z-Automotive double bypass cable and it doesn’t work. My T2 works just fine with the various bypass cables. My I2 has no issues connecting through an OBD port with no bypass. I looked at both connectors and the pins are physically shorter in the I2 cable and don’t go in far enough to make contact on the bypass cables. Has anybody else seen this?

This is not something I have ever seen or heard reported.
