U7194- Can't update CROM File?

Hello,

I just downloaded the most recent CROM file for my U7194, as well as the step by step instructions for how to install it.

Everything goes great until I get to the step where I get to cycle the power (after selecting the file). When I unplug the tool from my OBDII port and plug it back in, the program simply freezes.

I tried:
1) Waiting for over a minute
2) Uninstalling and reinstalling the DS Downloader (twice)

I've updated the CROM file before, so I can't figure out what the problem could be. Any thoughts?

SOunds liek maybe you are not using the auto connect function of DSDL?
What version of dsdl is it?

the usb port on your laptop isn't going into "sleep" mode after a bit of inactivity to conserve battery power, is it??
