2007 Ram 2500 5.9
I am getting a message when I connect to the vehicle that it is not in the data base. When I try to update the software, it tells me that I must restore the 'Original Backup'.
Do I need to reset the Predator to be able to download the latest software? How do I get it to recognize my vehicle or update the data base?
I purchased the vehicle and Predator from the same person and the mechanic and my local dealership says the computer has been flashed and the Predator needs to be reset??? It was originally functioning with the vehicle before I purchased it.

I cannot get past the error message that I must restore the Original Backup file before I can proceed. Can you please tell me what I must do to eliminate this error? I am new to this process and product, please be specific. Am I missing something easy?
I have downloaded the Downloader 2.2.2.6 and am finding the Predator no problem.

you have to plug it in the truck and allow it to restore the stock tune to the vehicle before it can be updated.
if they flashed over the tune already, the tool needs to be reset and you need to fax us proof of the reflash, then call with the tool powered up within an hour with the tool powered up and we'll reset it, then you'll be able to update it.
