timing adjustments

Post by just4fun »

I have a Trininity 2 Platinum in my 2006 GTO have had it for 3 or 4 years and been happy with it. Have not used it in the past year, took it for a few runs last week and logged some knock in the middle of the day which is not unusual with the under hood temps in this car so I tried to pull a few degrees of timming and the tuner would not let me. After several tries I gave up. I called tec support (1-866-404-6141) and was told by Neil that they have removed that option and can no longer adjust timing. Is this a fact? If it is why would they remove that option to remove or add timing at the track to adjust for temp. changes? Thanks Keith

Hi Mike, not sure what # your looking for it's a Trinity 2 (T2 EX) platinum GM 25318
2 sets of numbers on the box, 1011501480 and 101-012-163
2 sets of numbers on the tuner, x00011600 and 201200203
there is also 9245 above the bar code on the box Hope one of them is what you are looking for if not let me know. Appreciate your help I have had the tuner a few years ( my first tuner) and have really enjoyed having it to monitor, log and tune its a great product it has taught me so much, worth way more then the cost. Thanks Keith

the WOT spark parameters are still there for all applications using a 9245 T2. Please report this to our team if they are truly missing.

It's not that they are missing I am no longer able to adjust my spark advance or retard as I used too. I can still make adjustments to fuel, rpm, fans, tire size, ect but not my timing
