You are correct the after market air filter had no effect on the lean code, it is a fuel issue not ignition.

I had a lean code P0171 went to restore the vehicle code when it went into standby mode and froze. After several attempts it stops at 56% while writing the code. Now my 07 SS Trailblazer will not change gears.
