Re: InTune + Powerstroke 6.0 gone wrong
Assuming there isn't a way to get the TCM programmed. Is it safe to run the Tow PCM tune with the stock TCM tune?

Re: InTune + Powerstroke 6.0 gone wrong
If you're referring to read as in the back up portion of the process, then yes I follow the on-screen prompts exactly. The back up worked without an issue. The only problem is programming the TCM. The PCM process works fine according to how the InTune instructs you. The TCM however will not program ...

Re: InTune + Powerstroke 6.0 gone wrong
I did verify it is up to date. It was up to date prior, but I double checked.
When it attempts to load the TCM tune, it continuously requests the ignition off/on. It does this for the PCM as well, but it works on the PCM. On the TCM, if you attempt to skip the off/on, on the third try to skip it ...

Re: InTune + Powerstroke 6.0 gone wrong
Just an update, I attempted to load both the PCM and TCM tunes again twice to the truck. Unfortunately whenever it's attempted to load the TCM tune and I then tried to skip the ignition off on sequence, but it would not detect the TCM computer and eventually failed with an error code of "Failed to ...

Re: InTune + Powerstroke 6.0 gone wrong
Mike,
Thank you for your response. I skipped cycling the ignition like you said and the TCM tune reloaded the back up like it should have. The truck starts now just as it did before. If I were to want to use this tuner on this truck again should I do something different? Or should I just not use ...

InTune + Powerstroke 6.0 gone wrong
Earlier today, I traded in my 2009 Silverado 5.3 that had an Intune on it. I made sure to fully remove the programing and return the truck to stock before clearing out the truck. No problem, everything went to plan.
Later today, I'm the proud owner of a 2006 Ford F250 Powerstroke 6.0 in very good ...

Re: '09 Silverado "Firm" Shift question
I did not, no. I don't think the 4L60 tranny is stout enough to be running without Torque management daily in a truck. Using those settings, I just reduced it.
It was on the second page after the shift pressure settings, but if yours does not have it, I'd imagine they haven't updated the inTune to ...

Re: '09 Silverado "Firm" Shift question
Here is the rest, I put all of these settings in the "Normal" TCM tune, I left the Sport/Tow stock.
1>2 Torque Reduction = -10%
2>3 Torque Reduction = -10%
3>4 Torque Reduction = -7%
DiabloSport! Why does the "Firm" Shift tune want to remove our transmissions on these trucks?

Re: '09 Silverado "Firm" Shift question
I have an '09 Silverado as well, with the 4L60E transmission, and had the same issue. I never got a clear answer as to why the "firm" tcm option was excessively harsh, but I did manage to smooth it out almost entirely while keeping it sportier than stock. The Firm and Hard shift tunes feel like they ...
