1. They come on late, but these are not on/off fans, they are variable speed/power fans.
2. Best bet is to increase the duty cycles by a good percent to allow for quicker cool down.
yeah? increase the duty cycle?
i was thinking along these lines example
if it was at 220 and is going to be 180 ...

IMO a 160 is too cold and never closes, but its up to you.
The fans are optimized for the stock t-stat, and you should see slight improvement in coolant temp from just loading the tune.

hey guys get me through this please
i have a 2008 Silverado 5.3l blah blah blah
The engine seems to run at about 220 degrees so i figure the thermosat is a 220 model
Im wanting to change to like a 160 thermostat to keep it cooler although it has never overheated
a few questions
#1 what temp does the stock thermostat fans lick ...
