RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: engine light
Ok....since I have put the new stat in it has not coded once. It must have been the stat. I will never assume again that just because someone gave me a mod that the part is correct and is fuctioning properly.

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: engine light
I took the old one old and put the new stat in. The old one was a 4128 and had the stamps, never checked before. So I will get the old one out of the trash and check it with a meat thermometer. See what I get for driving slow to work. lololol

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: engine light
I purchased the 4128 from Autozone and yes it is stamped 4128 and Motorad. This is not the thermostat that was given to me by the dealer when I purchased the Predator. He gave me something in a blue box, did not see a manufacture name. I'll give this one a try.

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: engine light
Ok, it coded this morning on my way to work. Who brought up the thought about it may be related to how far I travel to work? I do only travel about 5 miles to and from work. Mike and Bob, both running NAPA 165 with no bleeder hole. Both 5.7L Hemi's? So now I have two part numbers. The 4128 from auto ...

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: engine light
I opened the thermostat back up and the bleeder hole was at the very bottom. Put the hole at the top and put it back together. I will let you know if it has any affect. Thanks Everyone

RE: Re: RE: engine light
I just realized I did not orient the bleeder hole up. This was pointed out to me by one of the club members at Hooters on Sunday. I will open it back up and correct the problem. Hopefully that will take care of the issue.
Thanks

RE: engine light
The correct part number is, 4128. Since this one was given to me, by the same guy that sold me the Predator, I assumed it was correct and installed it. I am going to purchase another one and install to see if that clears the problem.

RE: engine light
Hi
Sorry I did not respond with the code. I cleared it just before you asked me what the code was and I was not sure. The light came on again and you are correct it is P0128.

engine light
I put a 180 stat in my magnum RT. I live in Coral Springs so you know the weather. I have been getting an engine light at least once a week and the Predator code indicates thermostat. Any suggestions?

RE: Predator Tuner for a complete noob
I had the same reservations when I purchased my predator. It is easy to install and hard to mess up. Then as you learn more, you can play around with custom tuning. Do it and you will not regret.
