The owners manual on the U7140, not the small brochere that comes with it, states that yoy can add timing, globaly, up to 4 degrees and retard it by 10 degrees. Plus two, is two degrees? Don,t understand your statement of "How Could You" add two degrees that is?

Yet another question about Octane. Since 93 Octane is unavailable in So Calif, would mixing 100 Octane Racing Fuel (Which is available1 Go Figure) and Mobil 91 Octane 1/2 and 1/2? Should be at least 93 Octane?

My understanding is that each percentile is equal to one degree!

Since higher than 91 Octane Fuel is not available in So Calif, have any of you found Octane Boosters? Also there is a Union 76 station close to me with 100 Cctane racing fuel. If I utilized this, would I install the 93 octane tune and increase spark by 7 degrees?

For realizing the greatest HP gain, using 91 Octane Gas, I have been advised to install the 91 Tune and increase timing until Knock Retard shows pinging. I see this Knock Retard eluded to over and over again, however I don,t know how to moniter or access this knock Retard function. Please elucidate!
